The darkroom, a term borrowed from analog photography development processes, is illuminated by a red lamp. The wall is covered from floor to ceiling by mirrors in varying sizes, bringing to mind the first art exhibitions held in Le Salon de Paris in the 17th and 18th centuries. In the lit space behind the wall, Hadas Ophrat etches images of insects on the back side of the mirrors. This is a drawing with light that comes through the etched scoring. The insect images are cast on the faces of the viewers reflected in the mirrors.
