Arnaud Rivi�¨re has mastered the art of the accident. Starting from cheap turntables and a simple mixer, he charges at this simple contraption using metal plates, broken records, iron rods, and an abundance of springs which he plays by throwing, inserting, banging, scraping and scratching. His system manufactures electric short-circuits, electronic feedback, powerful sound textures and the quiet tense hisses of electric currents in a tantalizing ear circus which joggles the acidic ruins of DJ culture, Musique concr�¨te, Rave, Free improv, Fluxus, Techno and Punk. Shards of vinyl fly about, the instrument breaks apart and disintegrates but somehow, out of this chaotic sonic vaudeville, Rivi�¨re succeeds in creating a captivating, highly physical musical performance, full of humor and most importantly really fun.
