Tigris take on the 1970s music of the Caribbean and East- and West-Africa and combine it with pop influences, rock and surf. With a psychedelic and eclectic sound all their own, their music is both modern and traditional, as each member bringing his own background into a mixture that evokes a long lost tribe just discovered deep in space. With grooves running wild and unique instrumentation, Tigris claim their place on the international map of contemporary African music. Their show in the festival is fronted by Liraz Charchi, a.k.a LIRAZ, who brings Persian-psychedelic vibes with charm and originality.
Participants: Roy Harmon on keyboards; Ilan Smilan son guitar; Amir Sadot on Bass; Ben Aylon on African drums; and Liraz Charchi, singing.
