Picture - Movement – Sound – Object – picture – Movement – Sound
A collaboration between the Choreography Program at the Dance Department of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance with students from Musrara's New Music and New Media Departments.
Movement, sound and video: three media working together in the space, delineate a space and relate to objects in that space, as well as to the relations of the objects to each other. It is an attempt to explore the range of possibilities that arise from the relationships that emerge between these arts, and where the visual and sound relations give rise to a new form – a work of art.
The work is the result of a collaboration in its sixth year running, bringing together the Choreography Program at the Dance Department of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance with third-year students from Musrara's New Music Department and second-year students from Musrara's New Media Department. In this collaboration, students explore the creative potential that can result from the relationship between the visual arts, music and dance, while recognizing the autonomy and equality of each of these forms of expression, none of them being subject or subservient to the other.
Supervised by Anat Shamgar, Head of the Choreography Program at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, Kiki Keren-Huss of the New Music Department and Vera Korman from the New Media Department at the Musrara Art School.
