Survival Kit for the Anthropocene-TRAILER
The increasingly rapid spread of invasive biological species, a natural phenomenon that has been triggered by Homo sapiens, can be understood as an (un)intentional experiment that has enabled us to directly observe, objectively and subjectively, the dramatic extinction of different species on Earth.
The work explores the typology of invasive species, through combining geopolitical parameters on the one hand and local-sociological paradigms on the other. It takes different cultural ethnic signifiers, transforming them into the Survival Kit for the Anthropocene (our current geological period).
Survival Kit for the Anthropocene –Trailer causes us to ask ourselves existential questions about a not-so-distant future reality in which the survival of the species will depend much more on specific knowledge of our local environment, rather than on sweeping global ecological ideas based on an ideological common denominator.
